Caprice Art rock lives! (Or, if you prefer, 'darkwave neo-folk'.) For those who miss the classically-infused '70s rock band Renaissance, check out Caprice, a neo-classical group from Russia. The members are classically trained. Standard orchestral instruments are in abundance. Sublime adventures await, whether it's the inventive writing (with complex time signatures and polyphony) or the elf and faerie imaginings (including a new language) that recur throughout Caprice's music. Lead vocalist Inna Brejestovskaya compares favorably to Annie Haslam of Renaissance. Caprice also does a terrific job on English-style ballads, sounding at times like the old Steeleye Span. There's a lot to discover and like here.
